Dr. Bucking was born and raised in Lindenhurst, NY. He graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. He received a full scholarship through the U.S. Navy and attended the University of Connecticut to receive both his Doctor of Dental Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees. At graduation, he was honored with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons dental student awards for excellence in oral surgery and dental implant surgery.
After graduation, he pursued additional surgical training and completed two years of general surgery prior to completing a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Bucking is board certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as well as a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Paul is a proud U.S. Navy veteran and has served multiple tours in the Navy. He served on board the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson as well as overseas at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy as both a U.S. Naval Officer and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon providing care for our nation’s finest, their families, and allied NATO personnel. Most recently, he was stationed at Naval Station Mayport, Florida where he decided to continue his career in Florida and join the practice here.
